The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) was established in America in 1983. Today it has almost 700,000 members, which makes it the largest official brand club in the world. Anybody who owns a Harley-Davidson and pays the membership fee can become a member of the International H.O.G., and every new bike owner is granted free membership for the first year. H.O.G. membership in Hungary offers its members the same advantages as the international organization provides its members, including a free information magazine titled HOG TALES, participation in international events, the use of the H.O.G. information network, along with information about the latest technical equipment. Due to the increasing popularity of the international organization the European H.O.G. was founded first, then, in 1995, the H.O.G. Budapest Chapter was founded to unite and represent the Hungarian Harley-Davidson owners as a large family, as well as to establish bikers's culture in Hungary.

Chapters are local organizations which can only be founded where there is an official Harley- Davidson Trading Company. Currently, the Budapest Chapter has 55 members. Only members of the international H.O.G. can be granted a Hungarian membership, after sending in an application form, and being accepted. The H.O.G. Budapest Chapter provides a wide choice of opportunities for its members to spend time together and share in the experience, including various cultural events, sightseeing tours, and leisure activities.
